Bank Accounts and VAT

Will my company have all the necessary documents to enable it to open a bank account?

A bank will require to see the original Certificate of Incorporation, along with a copy of the limited company's Memorandum & Articles of Association, both of which are provided in our company packs. If you have appointed a director after we have sent the paperwork to you, it may be beneficial to take a copy of the AP01 form to the bank, along with the above documents. The more information you can supply the bank, the faster your application will be processed.

The current threshold for VAT registration is 70,000 and is subject to change by HMRC. and you must register for VAT if your business reaches this figure. You may register for VAT even if your turnover hasn't reached this figure but you anticipate that it will do so. You may also register voluntarily even if your anticipated turnover will not reach the threshold. You must also register for VAT if you supply VAT-able goods or services.
